Anders Andersens Rengøring reduces their travel by 87% using Polycom video solutions

Polycom video collaboration becomes the standard for communication for 800 employees of Anders Andersens Rengøring due to a structured adoption plan supported by management

Copenhagen, Denmark, 4 February 2013 — Polycom, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCM), the global leader in open standards-based unified communications and collaboration (UC & C), today announces that Anders Andersens Rengøring, a leading cleaning company in Denmark, is using Polycom RealPresence video solutions to reduce cost, and limit travel between offices.
The main offices of Anders Andersens Rengøring are located 220 kilometers apart. An internal study showed that the majority of the management staff were driving from one office to the other several times a week for one hour meetings. Based on these findings, Solutors, a Polycom local partner, delivered Polycom video collaboration to all of the main Anders Andersens Rengøring’s offices, which has proven to reduce travel by 87%, and significantly reduce cost.
Video collaboration has become part of the new corporate culture, and is the standard of communication throughout the organisation. Sponsored by a committed management team, the IT team at Anders Andersens Rengøring and Solutors created a staff adoption plan to ensure optimal usage of the new solution.
Workshops, divided by business unit, were organised with three major objectives in mind:

  • To demonstrate economic benefits
  • To highlight the communications advantage
  • To deliver a user demonstration of the products

In addition, video ambassadors were chosen and made responsible for promoting the use of the new technology within their team. “Polycom video collaboration quickly became the standard of communications between our branches, for all our business units,” reports Jannie Stage, IT Manager, at Anders Andersens Rengøring. “The return is phenomenal, the main objectives of cost and travel reduction have been achieved, and additional benefits such as better knowledge sharing, team collaboration and improved work/life balance have also been identified”.
