Solution Description

The RemoteCam2™ provides a unified kit of cable & electronics platform for cost effective remote Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) camera installations. This system provides high quality support for a wide variety of cameras, a universal power supply, molded color coded cable sets and interface electronics.

Regulated camera power, remote control, control loop and Y/Pb/Pr or S-Video is carried on dual UTP cable for distances up to 300’. The SCT RemoteCam2™ solution provides cable compensation for gain, delay and skew so standard UTP Cat5e or Cat6 can be used instead of hard-to-find and expensive low-skew or skew-free cable.

This technique of integrating PTZ cameras reduces installation hardware and labor for each camera position.
