Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Business Development
Driving growth through partnerships
Tom is a savvy corporate strategy and business development leader with nearly 25 years of experience in building teams and organizations through M&A, partnerships and organic growth. Tom joined Polycom in 2011 as Vice President of Corporate Development and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Business Development in 2017. In his current role, Tom focuses on accelerating Polycom’s growth through partnerships and acquisitions. He leads the global alliances team.
In his previous role as VP of Corporate Development, Tom drove significant transformation to Polycom’s business through acquisitions, the acquisition of Polycom by Siris Capital, and by leading change initiatives for Polycom as a private company.
Prior to Polycom, he held leadership positions at HP, where he was responsible for advancing alliances and for mergers and acquisitions in the Personal Systems Group and HP Networking. Tom also has experience in leading startup companies in his former roles as Founder and CEO of AudioFeast, CEO of QDesign, and VP of Product Marketing and Business Development at ReplayTV.
Tom is based in San Jose, CA, and holds Bachelor and Master of Engineering degrees from Dartmouth College, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School.
