Since joining Polycom in 2005, Sayed Darwish has been a crucial part of the delivery of customer-focused collaboration solutions. He oversees several high-priority corporate development activities such as the developer ecosystem program and the company's strategic alliances, including our award-winning partnership with Microsoft. Sayed is advisor to the Board of Directors and serves as Polycom's Corporate Secretary. In his role as Chief Legal Officer, he oversees the legal teams responsible for strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities and corporate compliance, litigation, regulatory matters, intellectual property and branding, employment-related matters, corporate policies, and general corporate and commercial contracts.

Sayed also oversees Polycom's Global Equity Plans Department responsible for the administration, accounting and legal compliance for Polycom's employee stock programs worldwide.

Sayed's vision is that Legal and Corporate Development help Polycom be nimble and responsive to customers' needs, by making Polycom easier to do business with and delivering the best solutions for our customers.

In his 24 year career Sayed has served in senior positions at EMC, Documentum and Forté Software. He has also worked as corporate counsel at Oracle Corporation and as an associate in the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison.

Sayed is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, with a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, and holds a bachelor of science in mathematics and a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
