    State budgets are shrinking and economic pressures continue to make life difficult for state and local governments. To make ends meet, states rely more and more on federal funds to implement telecommunications solutions. Grants, such as AFG and RUS, provide millions to state and local agencies to improve distance learning, communications, and emergency preparedness. Polycom monitors grant and funding sources and offers consultation and grant writing support for customers needing assistance with these programs.

    Polycom provides assistance in every aspect of funding selection, preparation and application. We track over 24 primary grant and funding sources, and search for information on thousands of lesser-known programs.

    To better help you understand the grant application process, navigate complex programs and secure funding, we provide:

    The Application Process

    We work closely with you throughout the application process to help ensure a successful outcome using a team approach. Your team includes a Polycom Territory Manager, your organization's Contact Captain, and, if you have none available in-house, a grant writer.

    Once a program has been identified, your qualified grant writer will provide your Contact Captain with a written explanation of the overall process. Your organization's roles and responsibilities will be described, and your grant writer will plan the activities needed to complete the application process, implementing these activities when appropriate.

    Once the application is assembled, your grant writer will submit it to the appropriate organization. Approval of your application results in funding you can apply to immediately implement or improve your video communications technology to realize unlimited advances in collaboration and training.
